Everyone is Different

We are

All different

Even if

We are in the same skin.

Different

Beliefs, customs, thoughts, feelings

A difference that is often supressed, or silenced

By a persons need for, generalisation

To simplify their perspective

Of the world they are in.

Simplified

That way, it is then

Easier to understand or deny

That which makes us question

Or shift uncomfortably within

Our skin.

Peace

Love, unity, acceptance

We call for it all

Though refuse to acknowledge

Or understand a perspective that is

Different.

Mourning

For her, the world we have forgotten

Upon her body we wage our wars

In ignorance and blind-belief

Believing that their perspective is the truth

So they can feel safe.
