So blind our flesh makes us
Narrowing the mind, trapping the soul
Its eternal connection faint, almost severed
With luck, when Death comes it will return home.
Without such connection, emotions taint
Distorting our understanding of the world we are in.
Here we are separated and conflicted,
Narrow minds cling to the teachings of past ages
For fear that if we open up to understanding
We have to face change and acknowledge
That some beliefs are rooted in fear
And grew strong from ignorance.
